I feel that in order for me to teach English as a Second Language (ESOL) well, I need to be knowledgeable about technology. I am often trying to find websites that I can use as tools to help my students to learn faster. Here are some really good websites for ESOL:
http://www.wida.us/ (Georgia follows the WIDA guidelines, so this is the first place to start.)
http://ell.dpi.wi.gov/files/ell/pdf/elp-levels.pdf (explanation of the ELL levels)
- www.teacherphilenglish.com/englishphil/english.php (teaching all levels of ESOL)
- http://www.colorincolorado.org/ (ELL topics from A-Z)
- http://www.usingenglish.com/ (This is an awesome website for assignments)
www.spellingcity.com (spelling games and tests)
